Announcement event for a new start of a bigger team

Context

The merge between two big companies is always a big opportunity to strengthen the leading position on the market and to become the best service provider.

As opportunities present themselves to clients, many doors are also opened for employees: the team becomes bigger, stronger, and the exchanged information comes with a huge potential for personal development.

The challenge is to communicate the impact of the changes that happen and what it means for each employee – both at a company level (new roles, ways of doing and procedures) and on a personal level (for the older employees and the new ones that will be joining the team).

The biggest challenge for our client remains speaking the language of emotions that can appear in this context: from insecurity and confusion to the freeze effect that occurs when the comfort zone is threatened or when we have to get accustomed to a completely unknown environment.

The company is part of the telecommunication industry and is one of the top 3 players on the market, at a national level.

Solution

A live digital event with over 3000 participants in which we said a simple but warm “Welcome!” for “A new beginning in a bigger house.”

The participants were invited to the company as if they were invited to a house, ready to host all of its colleagues.

Although we are going through an intense period of change, the people and the things that are important for them remain in first place.

It does not matter if you are a new colleague or have been part of the company for longer – the moment of fusion is a beginning for everyone. Each kilometre of the road will be done together, and this event is a “Hello” to the first step taken in the renewed team formula.

Besides the video manifesto and heartfelt messages, a part of the top management representatives answered employees’ questions and assured them that they will be having all the support from the beginning and further on.
